National Gold Medal Finalist

Congratulations everyone – we have reached the mountain top! Five years ago, I came to East Goshen Township and thought, “What a special place!”….amazing residents, a hard working staff, and elected officials committed to their constituents. I set one goal back then, and we just got it!

We’ve been named a National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) 2019 Gold Medal Finalist, essentially top four in the country! The award has been given out since 1965 and we are the first PA local municipality named a finalist, so needless to say we are ecstatic!

The overall Grand Plaque winners will be chosen in September at the National Conference, based on a 5 minute video I’ll be submitting at the end of the month. This is where I need your help! Members of the Park Commission and I will be in the park to shoot video footage this Saturday, May 18th from 11 am-12 pm. Feel free to join us! We will ask that you sign a waiver, but we want as many smiling faces showing just how special a place East Goshen Township is! We’ll be meeting by the playground bridge. We will be doing a set number of “activity-specific” shots (basketball, stones, pickle ball etc.), please email me if you are interested for one of those.
