Township Update 3/25/20

Due to the Chester County Commissioners’ announcement to extend the Chester County’s essential services-only operation to help slow the spread of coronavirus, the Township Building will be closed through April 13.

The playground, fields, courts and park bathrooms will be closed as well.

Township trash collection will continue on the regular schedule. This includes recycling and yard waste.

During this shutdown, the Township will staff a skeleton crew to perform regular maintenance activities and respond to sewer and road emergencies.

To report a sewer emergency, call 911. For non emergencies, call 610-692-7171 and leave a voicemail. Staff will be checking emails periodically.

The public meetings scheduled and advertised during that time have been canceled and are as follows:
• April 1, Planning Commission
• April 2, Parks & Recreation
• April 8, Conservancy Board
• April 9, Historical Commission

Thank you for your understanding. This is obviously impacting millions around the world in degrees both large and small. But, working together, following CDC guidelines, and using basic common sense, we can slow the spread of COVID-19.

Additional information about Chester County’s response to the COVID-19 virus can be found on the County Health Department’s website.

Stay Calm, Stay Home, Stay Safe.
