Code Department Updates

2024 Residential Resale/Refinance Update:

As of April 1st, 2024 East Goshen Township is changing the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Residential Re-Occupancy.

  1. An inspection is no longer required.
  2. The fee is changing from $100 to $50.
  • We will review the property for:
    • Open Permits
    • Open Violations
    • Any change of Use
  1. A signed affidavit is required for automatic garage door external entrapment safety systems.
  2. The Residential Property Transfer Application and Trash and Sewer Certification Applications are now combined in one application.
  3. (3) Checks are to be submitted:
    1. $50.00
    2. $15.00
    3. $15.00

(All checks to be made out to East Goshen Township)

* Application processing time is 15 business days from the date received.

* Incomplete applications will returned without processing.

Permit Applications Update
Starting on March 1, 2024, the Code Department will no longer mail or email approved permits. The owner or contractor is required to pick up the approved permit at the Township Building. Permits can be picked up at the office between 9am and 3pm each day.
