East Goshen Township Free Battery Collection Event at the Fall Yard Sale

Accepted batteries include:
- Lithium batteries (single-use and rechargeable
- Lithium-ion batteries
- Lithium polymer batteries
- Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH)
- Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd)
- Small sealed lead-acid batteries
- Loose battery packs weighing up to 25 pounds
Please Help Us Keep Everyone Safe
- Bring batteries loose—remove them from devices whenever it is safe to do so.
- Tape the terminals of lithium and rechargeable batteries with non-conductive tape, or place each battery in its own clear plastic bag.
- If you have many batteries, sort them by type before arriving to help speed up the collection process.
Items We Cannot Accept:
- Alkaline household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.)
- Car, truck, motorcycle, or boat batteries
- Electric vehicle batteries
- Batteries weighing more than 25 pounds
- Cell phones, laptops, tablets, power tools, toys, vaping devices, or other electronics with batteries still installed
- Batteries that cannot be safely removed from a device
Damaged Batteries
Do not bring batteries that are swollen, leaking, damaged, defective, or recalled. These batteries require special handling and should be taken to a Household Hazardous Waste collection event.
